SERVE is an initiative committed to tackling world poverty. In particular SERVE strives to combat both youth poverty and pro-actively unleash, nurture and retain youth capacity. Emerging, from a tripartite partnership relationship, between young Irish adults, Irish Redemptorists and marginalised communities in the developing world, SERVE works to empower vulnerable and excluded groups and communities to become the agents of their own transformation.

Every year SERVE sends over 80 volunteers to work in partnership with local communities in South Africa, Mozambique, Thailand, the Philippines, India and Brazil.

SERVE volunteers become part of a lively and pro-active team dedicated to several community initiatives such as house-building in Brazil; working with street children in the Philippines; providing staff support in education projects in Thailand, helping in construction work in a HIV/AIDS clinic in South Africa; working with a Leprosy Programme and Slum Projects in India.

Each Sponsorship Card ordered requires a non-refundable booking deposit of €20.00. This deposit is part of the minimum €600 fundraising target you are asked to reach in order to complete your Tandem Skydive. It helps combat fraud and deters those who may not really have the conviction to complete the fundraising for their chosen charity
