Meningitis Research Foundation's vision is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.

We fund research to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, and to improve survival rates and outcomes. The Foundation promotes education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and gives support to people affected.

What are meningitis and septicaemia?

Meningitis and septicaemia are deadly diseases that can kill in hours.

Meningitis is the inflammation of the lining around the brain and spinal cord. Septicaemia is the blood poisoning form of the disease.

Meningitis and septicaemia can cause symptoms such as a severe headache, vomiting, high fever, stiff neck and sensitivity to light. Many people (but not all) also develop a distinctive skin rash.

Each Sponsorship Card ordered requires a non-refundable booking deposit of €25.00. This deposit is part of the minimum €500 fundraising target you are asked to reach in order to complete your Tandem Skydive. It helps combat fraud and deters those who may not really have the conviction to complete the fundraising for their chosen charity
