The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Research Foundation was established in 2007, with the sole aim of supporting research that will lead to new treatments for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a currently incurable illness.

The Irish MND resrearch group has made many breakthroughs in their quest to finding a cure. In 2006, the group identified a new gene for MND, which has opened an exciting a new direction in the search for effective treatments. Following on from that research, recently the group identified a gene which is only switched on in the nervous system, and is very interesting as a possible susceptibility factor for MND. Ongoing research is necessary and is the only way to find the causes of MND. This will ultimately help develop new treatments for MND and related diseases

The MND Foundation welcomes the opportunity to raise funds through skydive for charity , and can guarantee that all funds generated are used exclusively for the purposes of supporting scientific research into MND.

Each Sponsorship Card ordered requires a non-refundable booking deposit of €25.00. This deposit is part of the minimum €500 fundraising target you are asked to reach in order to complete your Tandem Skydive. It helps combat fraud and deters those who may not really have the conviction to complete the fundraising for their chosen charity
