Do a Charity Skydive in aid of: The CARI Foundation

Registered Charity Number: 9491

The Children At Risk in Ireland Foundation is a voluntary organisation, which was set up in 1989 by a group of very committed and motivated people from the medical, social and support areas who identified the need for a centre to care for and counsel children and teens that had experienced sexual abuse.

CARI’s focus is to address the long-term needs of children and teens that have experienced sexual abuse. This coupled with the fact that we also treat the family and non-abusing siblings makes our approach unique.

CARI also provides an Outreach and Group work programme for young people. Our programme is offered to schools, youth centres and everyone who have children/teens in their care. The work of CARI has reached a large number of people and extends to cover a broad section of society from all over Ireland.

Children whose childhood has been affected by sexual abuse are often bewildered, trying to understand and cope with events and feelings beyond their imagination or comprehension. They need our help and support. CARI’S mission is to prevent as well as to cure the enduring hurt of Child Sexual Abuse and break the vicious cycle of long-term abuse
